This 2003 Lotus Esprit V8 is one of 79 Final Edition examples produced over the course of the 2003 and 2004 model years and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in black over black and tan leather, and equipment includes 17″ and 18″ OZ Monoblock Nova wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an Alpine stereo with an in-dash CD player. The car was sold on BaT in June 2022 and now has 12k miles. This Esprit is offered on dealer consignment in Thousand Oaks, California, with manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit, a car cover, spare parts, and a clean Montana title.
The final iteration of the Esprit was introduced in 2002 and featured a redesigned tail panel with round taillights. This example is one of four Final Edition examples finished in black (A02) for the model year and features body-color and glass roof panels, a carbon-fiber front splitter, a rear wing, pop-up headlights, fog lights, heated power-adjustable side mirrors, and central dual exhaust outlets. A chip on the rear wing was repaired by Exoticar in Los Angeles, California, in June 2023.
The 17″ front and 18″ rear OZ Monoblock Nova wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxes tires. Braking is handled by ventilated discs at each corner with AP Racing front calipers.
The seating surfaces have been re-trimmed in black leather with checkerboard stitching, and amenities include a heated rear window, air conditioning, power windows and locks, and an Alpine stereo with an in-dash CD player.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 220-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 12k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The mid-mounted twin-turbocharged 3.5L V8 was factory rated at 350 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. An aftermarket exhaust system is installed.
