BluePrint LS 427-Powered 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Split-Window Coupe Conversion 5-Speed

This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2020 and subsequently modified with a split-window conversion, an SRIII tube-frame chassis, a fuel-injected BluePrint LS 427 crate engine, and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission. It was refinished in Midnight Blue Metallic over Ferrari Rosso leather and further equipped with Schott staggered-diameter wheels, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, C7 suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, exhaust headers, a custom air intake, recessed door handles, keyless entry, electric headlamp motors, and LED lighting. The cabin was outfitted with polished cargo runners, AutoMeter instrumentation, an SKX short-throw shifter, Vintage Air air conditioning, a Custom Autosound stereo, Kenwood speakers, aftermarket power windows, and a custom center console. This C2 coupe is now offered by the selling dealer, a BaT local partner, on consignment with build records and a clean California title.

The fiberglass body was modified to incorporate a 1963-style split rear window, and it was refinished in Midnight Blue Metallic in 2024. Additional features include a 1963-style hood, Kindi-It recessed door handles, keyless entry, Detroit Speed electric flip-up headlamps, and LED taillights, parking lights, and license plate lights.

Schott Challenger eXL 18″ and 20″ wheels are mounted with 235/40/18 front and 305/30/20 rear Michelin Pilot 4S tires. The car rides on an SRIII tubular chassis with C7-spec independent front and rear suspension. Braking is handled by C7-spec four-wheel discs. The car is equipped with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering.

The cabin was reupholstered in red and features aftermarket bucket seats upholstered in Ferrari Rosso leather with seat grommets as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Polished runners line the cargo area floor. Amenities include a SKX short-throw shifter, Vintage Air air conditioning, a Custom Autosound stereo, Kenwood speakers, an analog clock, aftermarket power windows, a custom center console, and lap belts.

A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames AutoMeter period-look instrumentation. The digital odometer shows 1,300 miles, which is said to represent the mileage since the build was completed. Total mileage is unknown.

A BluePrint 427ci LS V8 crate engine was installed in 2024. It features a cast iron block, LS3-style aluminium cylinder heads, retro-style coil pack covers, Holley Sniper EFI, a Holley fabricated intake manifold, exhaust headers, a custom air intake, a Powermaster alternator, and a CVF air conditioning compressor.

Dynamometer results show maximum power outputs of 638 horsepower and 606 lb-ft of torque.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Dynotech driveshaft and a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission. Both were installed in 2021 along with a SST Advanced billet steel flywheel, dual-disc clutch system, and Super Duty 621 bellhousing. An aftermarket fuel tank and Flowmaster exhaust system are also fitted.
