1991 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC

This 1991 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC is a right-hand-drive limited-production version of the homologation model for Toyota’s WRC-winning rally car. It was sold new in Japan and was imported to the US in 2021. Finished in Gray Metallic over blue and patterned cloth, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four linked to a five-speed manual transaxle, an all-wheel-drive system, and a Torsen limited-slip rear differential. Equipment includes four-wheel steering, disc brakes, 15″ O.Z. Racing wheels, pop-up headlights, hood vents, a rear spoiler, a MOMO steering wheel, a power-adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, power windows, mirrors, and locks, and a Kenwood stereo with Bluetooth capability. This ST185 Celica shows 143k kilometers (~89k miles) and is offered at no reserve through a BaT Local Partner on dealer consignment with import documents and a Vermont registration.

Approximately 1,800 Celica GT-Four homologation models were produced for the Japanese market, and this car is finished in Gray Metallic (182) with GT-Four RC side decals. Exterior details include fog lights, pop-up headlights, a hood with an air-outlet bulge and cooling duct, flared fenders, power-folding mirrors, a power-retractable antenna, a rear spoiler, and twin exhaust outlets. Close-up photos of blemishes in the paint are presented in the gallery.

White-finished 15″ O.Z. Racing alloy wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxes RA1 tires. The car is equipped with a front strut tower brace, front and rear MacPherson strut suspension, and Dual Mode Four-wheel Steering (Dual Mode 4WS). Stopping power is provided by disc brakes at all four corners.

The front sport seats and split-folding contoured rear bench are trimmed in blue cloth with patterned inserts. Appointments include a power-adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, power windows, and a Bluetooth-capable Kenwood stereo.

The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a 180-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for boost pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 143k kilometers (~89k miles).

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 3S-GTE inline-four was factory rated at 231 horsepower and 224 lb-ft of torque and features a top-mount water-to-air intercooler.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and an all-wheel-drive system with a Torsen limited-slip rear differential. Additional underside images are presented in the gallery.

The car has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair or Air Resources Board, and it has not passed a California emissions test. The vehicle does not have a title as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its transferable Vermont registration.
