1989 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe

This 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was ordered new through Carlsen Porsche in Palo Alto, California, in Velvet Red Metallic over a Cashmere Beige interior with sport seats. The car is powered by a turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six linked with a five-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential, and it is equipped with Velvet Red-finished 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes, a power sunroof, front and rear spoilers, a Blaupunkt cassette radio, an analog clock, and air conditioning. This 930 Turbo coupe was purchased by the current owner in January 2024, shows 54k miles, and is now offered on dealer consignment in California with the owner’s manual, a stamped maintenance log, a collection of service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

The car is finished in Velvet Red Metallic (L81L), and front and rear spoilers were standard on the Turbo, as were headlight washers, fog lights, and a rear-window wiper. Photographs of paint-meter readings are shown in the gallery below.

Forged 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels are finished in Velvet Red Metallic with bright lips, while Yokohama Advan AD52 tires are mounted at each corner. Braking is handled by four-wheel cross-drilled and ventilated discs, and Turbo models received front and rear sway bars as standard.

The Cashmere Beige cabin has black accents and was optioned with sport seats, and additional details include a Blaupunkt Reno cassette radio, air conditioning, an analog clock, and power windows.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 170-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, fuel level, and boost pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 54k miles.

The turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six was factory rated at 282 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed G50 manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A collection of service records dating back to 1989 is shown in the gallery below.
