1985 Land Rover 110 Hi-Cap Pickup V8 5-Speed

This 1985 Land Rover 110 is a left-hand-drive pickup that was brought to the US following the current owner’s acquisition in 2015. Finished in blue over black upholstery, the truck is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 linked to a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. It rides on body-color 16″ steel wheels, and further equipment includes power-assisted front disc brakes, a sliding rear window, a spray-on bedliner, a Sony head unit, and aftermarket speakers as well as an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. Work since 2020 included refinishing various body panels, rebuilding the alternator, resealing the oil pan, transfer case, and differentials, and replacing the front crankshaft seal and fuel pump. This 110 pickup is now offered on dealer consignment in California with partial service records and a Montana title listing it as a 1986 model.

The truck features aluminum body panels finished in blue, and the nose panel, fenders, front flares, door hinges, tailgate, and bed hooks and latches were refinished in March 2024. Details include fender vents, dual side mirrors, a sliding rear window, and a spray-on bedliner.

Body-color 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 265/75 Cooper Discoverer ATR tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.

The high-back bucket seats are trimmed in black leather with suede inserts and are accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Appointments include a heater, a battery safety cut-off switch, a center console, a Sony CD stereo, and aftermarket speakers.

The steering wheel fronts a 150-km/h speedometer, a 6k-rpm VDO tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 130k kilometers (~80k miles).

The 3.5-liter V8 is equipped with an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. The alternator was rebuilt, the oil pan was sealed, and the front crankshaft seal and fuel pump were replaced under current ownership.

Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Work since 2020 included sealing the front differential and replacing the rear pinion and transfer case seals.
