This 1966 Buick Riviera GS is one of a reported 179 examples that were equipped from the factory with a 425ci “Super Wildcat” V8 topped with dual four-barrel carburetors. The engine is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Work in preparation for the sale involved replacing the carburetor float needles, the tires, suspension bushings, and relays for the concealed headlights. Finished in white over black vinyl, the car rides on 15″ chromed wheels and has power steering and brakes. Other details include front bucket seats, a center console, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and power windows. This Riviera GS is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a clean California title.
The car is finished in white and equipped with a fender-mounted antenna, a driver-side mirror, and chrome bumpers and trim. Relays for the concealed headlights were replaced in preparation for the sale.
Chromed 15″ styled wheels were mounted with Nexen N’Priz tires in preparation for the sale, and suspension bushings were also replaced. Braking is provided by power-assisted drums at each corner, and the car is equipped with power steering.
The front buckets and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl, and woodgrain trim accents the center console and dashboard. The cabin has a power-adjustable driver’s seat and power windows. The clock and radio do not work.
A woodgrain-rimmed steering wheel is mounted on a tilting column and fronts a 140-mph rotating-drum speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 34k miles. The selling dealer states that the mileage is not accurate, and total mileage is unknown.
The 425ci “Super Wildcat” V8 was topped by dual four-barrel carburetors from the factory for a rating of 360 horsepower. The carb float needles were replaced in preparation for the sale.
