This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in July 2023, and it is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. It is finished in blue with a white soft top over dark blue upholstery and is equipped with 15″ Rally-style wheels, front disc brakes, concealed headlights, chrome bumpers, a clock, and a push-button AM radio. The car was imported to Canada under prior ownership before being acquired by its prior owner in 2001, and has since been returned to the US. This C2 convertible is now offered by the selling dealer with a clean Arizona title.
The fiberglass body left the factory finished in Silver Blue (912A) and was repainted in its current dark blue under prior ownership. Features include a white convertible top, flip-up headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and dual exhaust outlets exiting through the rear valance. Images showing paint chips along the body sides, nose panel, and front corners of the hood are displayed in the gallery along with other imperfections.
The 15″ Rally-style wheels wear chrome trim rings and center caps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A white-letter tires. Braking is provided by unassisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in dark blue vinyl as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Bright trim accents the door sills and center console, and additional equipment includes an analog clock, a glovebox, sun visors, Corvette Stingray-embroidered floor mats, and a push-button AM radio.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 5,300-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges indicating fuel level, battery charge, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 66k miles, a handful of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 327ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt in 2005, and a COMP Cams camshaft was installed and the engine balanced at that time. The valve cover gaskets were replaced under current ownership.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
