This 2000 Featherlite Vantare 45′ motorcoach was built on a 1999 Prevost H3-45 chassis and was owned from new by former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman until the current owner’s acquisition in 2023. The coach is finished in maroon and gold, and power is from a Detroit Diesel 12.7-liter turbocharged inline-six paired with an Allison HD4060 six-speed automatic transmission and a dually rear drive axle. The forward cabin seats are trimmed in red leather, and the floor plan includes individual seating for 11, a kitchenette, a dinette, and an aft bedroom with an en suite bathroom. Amenities consist of ducted climate control, power-operated window shades, a kitchen sink, a cooktop, a residential-style refrigerator, a convection microwave oven, and an outdoor entertainment center with a refrigerator and television. Mechanical equipment includes shore connections, freshwater and waste tanks, and a PowerTech generator. Work in 2024 involved repairing the brakes, air suspension, and accessory compressed air system, servicing the rear differential, and replacing the power steering pump and the drive axle wheel bearings. This Featherlite Vantare motorcoach is now offered on dealer consignment in California with a clean Carfax report and a clean Texas title.
The body is finished in maroon and gold with multi-color accents. Equipment includes window awnings and a power-operated patio awning, an outdoor shower, air horns, quad windshield wipers, equipment bays, a receiver hitch, and a satellite TV antenna with a protective dome. A camp-side bay door opens to reveal an outdoor entertainment center equipped with a Sony CD changer, Blaupunkt speakers, and a Panasonic CRT-style television. The paint is chipped on the left side of the entry door surround, a scrape is visible on the camp-side plumbing bay door, the rear bumper cover is cracked, and bubbling is noted around the rear license plate panel.
Alcoa 22.5″ aluminum wheels wear 315/80 Goodyear G670 RV tires, and stopping power is from air-actuated front and rear disc brakes. The coach is also equipped with a two-stage Jacobs engine brake, and the Prevost H3-45 VIP chassis rides on an air-adjustable suspension with an HWH auto-leveling system. A PowerTech diesel-fueled generator is secured within an equipment bay, and additional infrastructure equipment includes freshwater and waste tanks, eight house batteries, dual Trace Engineering power inverters, and shore connections for water, waste disposal, and 50-amp electrical service. Service in 2024 involved replacing front and rear brake chambers and the power steering pump as well as repairing the air suspension and the accessory compressed air system.
The forward compartment houses power-adjustable captain’s chairs trimmed in red leather upholstery accompanied by a beige dashboard surround and woodgrain trim. Equipment includes power-operated sun visors, a reverse-view monitor, cruise control, dual-zone air conditioning, a storage compartment, and a Panasonic A/V receiver unit with a retractable screen.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of an 80-mph speedometer, a tachometer, supplementary gauges, and accessory control panels. The digital odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The living quarters are outfitted with woodgrain and tile floors, recessed lighting, power-operated window shades, and ducted climate control. The forward area houses nine captain’s chairs upholstered in beige leather, sliding side windows, a Sony VHS videotape player, and a Panasonic tube-style TV mounted overhead. The kitchenette is equipped with composite countertops, storage cabinets and drawers, a recessed two-burner cooktop, a Sharp convection microwave oven, a sink, and an Amana residential-style refrigerator/freezer. A dinette with banquette-style seating is stationed adjacent to the galley, and a beverage cabinet with Vantare-logo wine glasses is overhead.
The rear bedroom is outfitted with a queen bed, a Panasonic DVD player and tube-style TV, and a satellite TV receiver as well as recessed lighting, a closet, built-in nightstands, and control panels for the lighting and climate control systems.
The en suite bathroom is equipped with tile flooring, gold-tone fixtures, an enclosed shower, a wardrobe, a toilet, a sink and vanity, and a toiletries cabinet with integrated mirrors.
The Detroit Diesel 12.7-liter turbocharged inline-six sends power to the rear drive wheels through an Allison HD4060 six-speed automatic transmission, and the coach is equipped with a tag axle that can be lifted via a control on the dashboard. Work in 2024 included changing the engine oil, fuel filter, and coolant filter as well as servicing the rear differential and replacing the drive axle wheel bearings.
