This 2012 Audi R8 GT Spyder is #156 of 333 produced, only 50 of which were delivered to the US. It is finished in Suzuka Gray Matte with a black soft top over Black leather and features a CFRP splitter, diffuser, windshield surround, rear wing, dive planes, mirror caps, and engine lid vents. The 560-horsepower 5.2-liter V10 drives all four wheels via a six-speed R-tronic automated transaxle, and the car rides on manually adjustable coilovers and 19″ Y-design wheels. Other details include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, carbon-fiber interior trim, and heated power-adjustable seats. The current owner purchased the car in 2021 and has since added approximately 1k of the 13k indicated miles. This R8 GT Spyder is now offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with a car cover, a battery tender, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The GT featured a lighter windshield when compared with the standard R8 as well as a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) front splitter, rear diffuser, fixed rear wing, dive planes, mirror caps, and engine lid vents. The car is finished in Suzuka Gray Matte and features a black convertible soft top, a CFRP windshield surround, LED headlights, tinted LED taillights, parking sensors, and integrated dual exhaust outlets. Scrapes can be seen on the underside of the front lip spoiler.
The GT came with a manually adjustable coilover suspension in place of the magnetorheological dampers offered on the standard R8. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel carbon-ceramic discs clamped by red-finished eight- and four-piston calipers. The 19″ Y-design wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires.
The heated power-adjustable seats are trimmed in Black leather with lighter stitching and “R8 GT” backrest accents. Matching hide and thread extend to the door panels, and carbon fiber trims the cockpit. Amenities include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, a wind deflector, automatic climate control, and an infotainment system with Audi Navigation Plus.
The shift knob is accented by R8 GT lettering and shows this example is #156 of 333 produced.
The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel has shift paddles and frames a 220-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 13k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.2-liter FSI V10 features dry-sump lubrication and was factory rated at 560 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque in GT specification.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed R-tronic automated transaxle and Quattro all-wheel drive.
