This 1985 Ferrari Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet is finished in Oro Chiaro Metallic over beige leather upholstery and is powered by a 2.9-liter F105A V8 linked to a five-speed manual transaxle with a gated shifter. It spent time in Canada before being brought to the US under previous ownership, and it was sold on BaT in April 2025. The car has been fitted with a Magnaflow exhaust system and also features a limited-slip differential, a dark brown soft top, a beige top boot, 390mm five-spoke wheels, a Clarion stereo, power windows, and R134a-based air conditioning. This Mondial Quattrovalvole cabriolet is offered in California on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with a clean Carfax report and a California title.
The car features Pininfarina-styled bodywork finished in Oro Chiaro Metallic (104c), and exterior details include a dark brown soft top, a beige convertible top boot, pop-up headlights, integrated front fog lights, side air intakes, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The bumpers have been refinished, and door dings were repaired in 2016. Close-up photos of the exterior are provided in the gallery below.
The 390mm five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin TRX tires that were installed in 2023. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel vented disc brakes. The right-front wheel hub assembly was replaced in 2023, and the right-rear axle boot was replaced in 2024.
The seating surfaces have been reupholstered in beige leather, and the four-place cabin features a gated shifter, a Clarion CD stereo, a trunk-mounted subwoofer, power windows, and air conditioning, the latter of which has been converted to utilize R134a refrigerant.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,750-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 37k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.
The transverse 2.9-liter F105A V8 features aluminum construction and was upgraded in the Quattrovalvole model with four valves per cylinder. The engine also uses two overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection to produce a factory-rated 230 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. A timing belt service was completed in 2023, at which time the alternator was rebuilt, the valves were adjusted, and the water pump, thermostat, injection valve, spark plugs, fuel injectors, engine mounts, oil pan, starter, and battery were replaced. The distributor seal and oil cooler line were replaced in 2024.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A Magnaflow exhaust system was installed in 2016, and the throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and selector shaft seal were replaced in January 2023.
The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
