This 1993 Land Rover Defender 90 is a left-hand-drive pickup that was said to have undergone a refurbishment in Italy in 2021, which included refreshing the body and frame, overhauling the cabin, and refurbishing the drivetrain. It was imported to the US in January 2022 and was previously sold on BaT in April 2022. The truck is finished in gray over a black vinyl interior, and power is provided by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. Equipment includes aftermarket 18″ wheels, LED lighting, inward-facing jump seats, and an infotainment system with smartphone integration and a rear-view camera. This Defender 90 shows 273k kilometers (~169k miles), and it is now offered in California by the selling dealer, a BaT local partner, on consignment with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title.
The truck’s frame was refinished and coated while the body was repainted in gray as part of the refurbishment. Exterior touches include a black grille, headlamp bezels, roof, fender arch extensions, front bumper, and rear crossmember, along with Alpine windows, a Puma-style hood, tow hooks, mud flaps, a trailer hitch, and clear LED headlamps, taillights, and fog lights.
Black-finished 18″ alloy wheels are mounted with 265/65 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires, while a matching spare tire is fitted to a rear swing-away carrier.
The cabin features seats that were reupholstered in Exmoor Trim black vinyl with contrasting red stitching, along with a matching replacement headliner and carpets. The dashboard is upholstered in red vinyl, and matching inserts can be found on the door panels and rear speaker boxes. A Bluetooth and Android Auto-capable 10″ tablet paired with a rear-view camera has been installed, while sound-deadening and heat-dissipating material is said to have been applied to the bulkhead, under the roof, in the cargo area, and over the transmission tunnel.
A two-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, including a 150-km/h speedometer and additional gauges displaying fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 273k kilometers (~169k miles).
The 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four was rated at 107 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential. A fabricated exhaust with exits mounted flush with the rear crossmember has been fitted.
