This 1973 DeTomaso Pantera L was refurbished between 2016 and 2019 after it is said to have spent approximately 28 years in storage, and it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in October 2021. Subsequent work involved replacing the exhaust headers and mufflers. The car is powered by a 351ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in white over black upholstery. Features include Pre-L chrome bumpers, 17″ Campagnolo-style wheels, air conditioning, power windows, a gated shifter, a MOMO Indy steering wheel, and a push-button radio with an aftermarket audio system. This Pantera is now offered on dealer consignment with a California title.

The Pantera’s bodywork was designed under the direction of American designer Tom Tjaarda. This example is finished in white and was repainted in 2019. Features include pop-up headlights, chrome front and rear early-style bumpers, bright window trim, and quad exhaust outlets.

Aftermarket 17″ Campagnolo-style wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires measuring 225/45 up front and 335/35 out back. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner.

The cabin features black vinyl upholstery on the seats and door panels as well as a color-coordinated dashboard and carpets. Equipment includes air conditioning, power windows, a gated shifter, and a vertically oriented push-button radio with an aftermarket speaker system. The heater does not work.

The wood-rimmed MOMO Indy steering wheel frames a Veglia 200-mph speedometer and a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 61k miles, which the seller states is not accurate. Total mileage is unknown.

The mid-mounted 351ci Cleveland V8 engine features a four-barrel carburetor and was reportedly rebuilt in June 2021. Replacement exhaust headers and mufflers are noted to have been installed under current ownership.
