This 1972 Datsun 240Z underwent a refurbishment before it was purchased by the current owner in 2024. The car has been refinished in lime over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 2.4-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes glass pack mufflers, front disc brakes, and steel 14″ wheels with Z-branded covers as well as a woodgrain steering wheel and shift knob and a push-button AM/FM radio. This 240Z is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a car cover and a clean California title.
Factory finished in Lime Yellow (112), the car was repainted under prior ownership. It features a driver-side mirror, Z badging on the C-pillars, bright window trim, and chrome bumpers with rubber-trimmed overriders.
The steel 14″ wheels feature five-spoke Z-branded covers and are mounted with 195/70 Laufenn G FIT AS tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent suspension, a front stabilizer bar, and rack-and-pinion steering. Stopping is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black vinyl that extends throughout the cabin. Interior appointments include a wooden shift knob, a push-button AM/FM radio, a center console, a lockable glovebox, an electric rear window defogger, and a heater. A dash cap is noted to have been installed over a cracked dashboard.
The woodgrain steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 7k-rpm redline. An analog clock and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, amperage, and fuel level are housed over the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 76k miles, which the selling dealer states is not accurate. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.4-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual side-draft SU carburetors and was rated at 151 horsepower and 146 lb-ft of torque. It is said to have been overhauled under prior ownership. A coolant hose was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. Glass pack mufflers and a body-color front skid plate have been fitted.
