This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible was acquired by the current owner in 2009 and it underwent a refurbishment at an unknown date by D&A Corvette in Illinois. It is powered by a 427ci L71 V8 equipped with triple two-barrel carburetors and mated with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential, and the car rides on 15″ turbine-style wheels with redline tires. The exterior is finished in Rally Red and is outfitted with a black soft top, side-exit exhaust pipes, flip-up headlights, and a black stinger hood stripe. Inside, the bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and are joined by a center armrest, power windows, and an AM/FM radio. This big-block C2 convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with a reproduction window sticker and a clean California title.
Refurbishment work completed by D&A Corvette in Illinois included refinishing the fiberglass body in Rally Red and fitting a replacement black soft top, according to the seller. Details include a black stinger hood stripe, flip-up headlights, chrome split bumperettes, fender vents, a driver-side mirror, and a side-exit exhaust system with heat shields.
The turbine-style 15″ wheels are mounted with QB1-style redline tires. The car features a fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. The car is equipped with power steering and braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather and are complemented by a matching armrest and color-keyed carpets. Amenities include a heater, a vertical push-button AM/FM radio, an analog clock, power windows, a reverse-lockout shifter, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 17k miles.
The 427ci L71 V8 breathes through three two-barrel carburetors and a chrome air cleaner assembly.
