This 1986 Nissan Skyline GTS is a Series 1 coupe powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter RB20DET inline-six paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. It is finished in Dark Grey Metallic over two-tone gray cloth and equipped with HICAS rear-wheel steering, 16″ Watanabe wheels, a Kakimoto exhaust system, a Recaro driver’s seat, a BBS steering wheel, air conditioning, and an Alpine tape deck. This R31 Skyline is now offered at no reserve in California with service records and a clean Florida title.
The car is one of 928 Series 1 H31s finished in Dark Grey Metallic (463) and features the Skyline’s trademark quad-round taillights as well as twin driving lamps, a rear spoiler, and a GTS-branded grille insert. Close-up photos of exterior blemishes can be found in the gallery.
The car is equipped with gunmetal 16″ Watanabe wheels, Hankook Ventus V2 concept tires, four-wheel independent suspension, HICAS rear-wheel steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.
The air-conditioned right-hand-drive cabin is trimmed in two-tone gray cloth with patterned inserts. An adjustable Recaro driver’s seat has been added, as have Sabelt and Schroth harnesses, a leather-wrapped BBS steering wheel, an M’s T-BAC electronic boost controller, an HKS compound boost meter, a NISMO shift knob, aftermarket pedals, and an Alpine cassette player. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows and door locks, a rear defroster, a digital clock, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo.
Instrumentation includes a 180-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for boost pressure, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 95k kilometers (~59k miles).
The 2.0-liter RB20DET twin-cam inline-six features the Nissan Induction Control System (NICS) and a turbocharger with a ceramic compressor wheel. The engine made around 180 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque when it was new, and in this car, it drives the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. A Kakimoto Racing exhaust system has been added.
The car has not been inspected by the California Air Resources Board.
