This 1977 Porsche 911S Coupe was recently acquired by the selling dealer, who describes the car as a running project. Powered by a 2.7-liter flat-six mated to a five-speed manual transaxle, it is finished in blue over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels, body-color bumpers, a sunroof, a rear spoiler, and fog lights in addition to air conditioning, power windows, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and a heated rear window. This mid-year 911S is now offered at no reserve in California with a clean Missouri title.
Factory-finished in Black (700), the car underwent a color change to blue under prior ownership. Exterior details include fog lights, body-color impact bumpers, a sunroof, a driver-side mirror, rear-fender stone guards, and a “whale tail” rear spoiler. Close-up photos showing blemishes in the finish are provided in the gallery below.
Fuchs 15″ forged alloy wheels with black-finished centers and missing center caps are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Yokohama AVS ES100 tires produced in 2003. Braking is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs.
The front seats are upholstered in black leather and the dashboard, door panels, and folding rear seats are trimmed to match. Additional appointments include air conditioning, power windows, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, an analog clock, and a heated rear window. Worn seat upholstery is depicted in the gallery.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer, a central tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 114k miles, with a few added under current ownership. The selling dealer states the odometer reading is inaccurate and that total mileage is unknown.
The 2.7-liter flat-six is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 165 horsepower and 176 lb-ft of torque when new. The selling dealer reports that the car runs and drives but would benefit from mechanical servicing.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.
