This 1997 Ferrari 456 GTA spent over two decades registered in California before it was sold on BaT in June 2018 and acquired by the current owner later that year. It is finished in Nero Carbonio over beige leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter F116 V12 paired with a four-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a factory stereo. The car most recently received a timing belt service in 2023 and now shows 11k miles. This 456 GTA is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Minnesota title.
The Pininfarina-designed aluminum and composite bodywork is finished in Nero Carbonio and features pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, and polished quadruple exhaust tips exiting through the rear valance. The lower sections of the bumper covers and rocker panels were refinished under previous ownership. The rear spoiler operates slowly and there is a related warning light in the dash.
Silver 17″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with an older set of Continental ExtremeContact tires measuring 255/35 up front and 285/40 out back. Self-adjusting dampers and self-leveling rear suspension were standard equipment. Stopping power is provided by Ferrari-branded four-piston brake calipers over ventilated rotors at each corner.
The cabin features beige Connolly leather that extends from the seating surfaces to the center console, lower dashboard, and door panels. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, and a factory stereo. Noted flaws include an inoperable alarm siren and a faulty radio LCD backlight.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia Borletti instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. An analog clock and readouts for fuel level and oil temperature are located in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 11k miles, a handful of which have been added under current ownership.
The 5.5-liter F116 V12 features four valves per cylinder, Bosch Motronic fuel injection, and dry-sump lubrication. It was factory rated at 436 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque, which is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transaxle. A timing belt service was carried out in November 2023, at which time the intake manifold gaskets, camshaft covers, spark plugs, thermostat, water pump, and hood struts were replaced.
