The Successor to the Scagliette to Auction Soon – 2014 Ferrari FF

It is not atypical for a new Ferrari production model to be a world-record setter in several categories of performance. The company’s prestigious name has been erected upon a foundation of achieving pinnacle vehicle development with the liberal use of only the best materials and innovative technology available. However, when the Ferrari FF premiered to fervent crowds at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011, they were awestruck. Ferrari’s debutant carried with it, of course, several record-establishing metrics, but grander than those were the world-firsts for Ferrari. The FF announced itself as the first ever full-production shooting-brake/wagon model, it was powered by (at the time) the largest road-going engine Ferrari ever produced, and was also their first production four-wheel drive automobile. It was a car made of unbelievable precedents, and in only one week, we will be auctioning a finely optioned and well-kept example of the FF from 2014 – so get ready.

Sold new in Los Angeles that year, the current owner has only been the second proprietor of the Ferrari since 2018. The shooting-brake design of the Ferrari pulls many cutting-edge aerodynamic elements together from current Ferrari stylings found throughout the FF’s contemporary stablemates. Completely finished in Bianco Avus paint, the finish is flawless with the exception of a small location on the rear quarter panel that was professionally remedied by the previous owner. Ferrari Scuderia crests on the fenders were optional extras, as are the LED headlights and several specialized trim pieces. Anthracite colored 20″ five-spoke wheels, completing the monochromatic exterior arrangement and overlay vividly red, large brake calipers and high-performance carbon ceramic rotors.

Inside the cabin, swathes of Rosso leather generously cover nearly every surface. Across the seats, the leather has a diamond-stitched design highlighted by a contrasting thread color. A sunroof, Hi-Fi sound system, parking sensors, and specialized interior trimmings are just some of the additional options that brought the original MSRP of this FF to over $400,000. Plus the rear seats fold down flat, revealing access to the cargo area, which is lined with red Alcantara fabric, creating a substantial amount of room for items.

The largest production engine ever produced by Ferrari at the time was the FF’s 6.3-liter V12. Although it provides an angelic noise the motor outputs a devilish amount of power at its 8,000-rpm redline – 651 horsepower and 504 lb-ft of torque! Those familiar with Ferrari’s will quickly recognize the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission utilized by the FF as it is similar to other models in operation. Unique to the FF is that power can be transferred to all four wheels instead of just two during certain operational modes available on the Manettino dial. Ferrari claims up to 20% of the available torque can be used to influence the front wheels, significantly increasing stability and control.

A clean California title and a Carfax report displaying no incidents accompany all of the service records and informational books. If you are ready to have a daily supercar, there is no better option than the spacious and ridiculously fast Ferrari FF.
