Safari-Style 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T 7-Speed

This 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T has been modified with Safari-style equipment including custom bumpers, Baja Designs auxiliary lights, and a roof basket in addition to 18″ Rotiform wheels, BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, GiroDisc brake rotors, and aftermarket suspension components. Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 3.0L flat-six said to be equipped with Mase Engineering engine-management software, an IPD intake plenum, a center radiator, AMS Performance intercoolers, and APR diverter valves. The car is finished in white with custom graphics and badging, and it also has a seven-speed manual transaxle, bi-xenon headlights, Zunsport front grilles, Soul Performance catalytic converters, a wood shift knob, and carbon-fiber bucket seats with P1Designs inserts. Acquired by the selling dealer in 2023, this 991.2 Carrera T shows 17k miles and is offered in California with an accident-free Carfax report and a clean Texas title.

The Carrera T was positioned as the lightweight model in the 991 lineup and featured lightweight glass aft of the B-pillar, reduced sound deadening, and Agate Grey-finished SportDesign mirror housings. This example is finished in white and has been fitted with a roof basket, body-color Porsche cross bars, custom bumpers, Baja Designs auxiliary lights, Zunsport front grilles, clear side markers, AWE wind diffusers, and custom badging and graphics. Factory equipment includes bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) as well as LED taillights, parking sensors, and a speed-activated rear spoiler. Paint protection film is said to have been applied to the body but is not present on the doors.

Body-color 18″ Rotiform wheels are mounted with 255/55 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and a spare is secured in the roof basket. Braking is from slotted and ventilated GiroDisc rotors, and the calipers have been powder-coated green with white “Offroad” script. Additional modifications are said to include the following:

  • DSC Sport V3 controller
  • Adjustable coilovers
  • GT3 lower control arms
  • Custom caster bushings
  • Elephant Racing spherical top hats
  • Delrin bushings & shims
  • Spiegler Performance Parts braided brake lines
  • Tarett Engineering caliper studs
  • Tarett Engineering brake line bracket studs
  • Rennline wheel studs

The carbon-fiber bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and feature P1Designs seat inserts, 911-embroidered headrests, and contrasting red stitching that extends to the dash and door panels. Gloss-black trim accents the cabin, and other appointments include a wood shift knob, a GT4-sourced shifter boot, red door pulls, red seatbelts, and “Offroad” script on the dash. Additional details include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, illuminated door sills, aluminum pedals, a Bose sound system, and Porsche Communication Management with a CD stereo. A Pro Comp light controller is affixed to the dash.

The Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 7,400-rpm redline as well as a 200-mph speedometer and gauges for oil temperature, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer on this Safari-Style 2018 Porsche 911 Carrera T indicates 17k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. A mileage inconsistency is listed on the Carfax report in a June 2023 entry, which notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.

The twin-turbocharged 3.0L flat-six is said to have been tuned by VF Engineering utilizing Mase Engineering 93-Octane engine-management software. An IPD intake plenum has reportedly been added along with a center radiator, a Vector Performance air/oil separator catch can, an AMS Performance air filter, AMS Performance intercoolers, and APR diverter valves.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed manual transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential with a 3.59:1 final drive ratio. A sport exhaust was fitted as standard, and Soul Performance catalytic converters and titanium exhaust tips are said to have been added.
