This 1956 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint was delivered new to Hoffman Motor Car Co. of New York City and eventually moved to California, where it was refurbished in the 1980s and acquired by the current owner in 2016. The car is finished in red over black and gray upholstery and powered by a 1.4L inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 15″ wheels, drum brakes, a Solex carburetor, Veglia instrumentation, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a Blaupunkt radio. This Giulietta is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a California title.
The Giulietta Sprint was designed by Franco Scaglione at Bertone. This example was reportedly refurbished in the 1980s and repainted in the current shade of red in 2002. Additional equipment includes a fender-mounted antenna, a driver’s mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, and “Giulietta Sprint” badging. Blemishes are shown up close in the photo gallery below.
Silver 15″ steel wheels wear chrome hubcaps and are mounted with 185/65 Pirelli P4 All-Season tires. A spare wheel is housed in the trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
