This 1989 Mercedes-Benz 200GE cabriolet spent time in Italy before it was imported to the US in 2018. It was previously listed on BaT in November 2019 and has since been fitted with a replacement 3.0-liter inline-six and a replacement five-speed manual transmission. Finished in black, the truck features a dual-range transfer case and front and rear locking differentials as well as a black soft top, LED headlights, later-style 19” wheels, a Blaupunkt stereo, and Dove Gray tartan plaid seat upholstery. Work in 2024 included performing body repairs and replacing the drive belt, brake master cylinder, rear shock mounts, spring perches, and intake and fuel injection systems as well as the soft lines for the power steering system, brakes, fuel system, oil cooler, and differential lockers. This W460 200GE is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment in California with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

The truck left the factory finished in red and was repainted in black under previous ownership. The body was removed from the frame and repairs were performed in 2024, at which time the soft top was modified to function properly. Exterior features include LED headlights, rear mud flaps, and a swing-out tire carrier.

The later-style 19” wheels are mounted with 275/55 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. Work in 2024 included replacing the brake master cylinder, rear shock mounts, and spring perches as well as installing replacement soft lines for the power steering system and brakes.

The interior was overhauled in 2024 with replacement carpeting, cargo-area paneling, door panels, and A and B pillars. The seats are trimmed in Dove Gray tartan plaid, and amenities include a Blaupunkt stereo, USB charging ports, and power-operated windows.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a central 7k-rpm tachometer and a 180-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 65k kilometers (~41k miles). An odometer reading of 88k kilometers was noted in the previous BaT auction for the truck. Total mileage is unknown.

A replacement 3.0-liter M103 inline-six engine has been installed along with a replacement five-speed manual transmission sourced from a 230GE. In 2024, the intake and fuel injection systems were replaced along with the drive belt and lower radiator hose. Custom soft lines for the fuel system, oil cooler, and differential lockers were installed at that time.
