This 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer was previously listed on BaT in June 2023 following modification and refurbishment work, which included installing a 5.3-liter LS V8 crate engine and a replacement four-speed automatic transmission along with refinishing the truck in white, replacing the faux wood paneling, refreshing the tan interior, and fitting a 6.5″ Rough Country lift kit and an aftermarket air-conditioning system. The truck also features a roof rack, a power-retractable rear window, power-adjustable front seats, power windows, a retro-style head unit, and 15″ alloy wheels with 32″ BFGoodrich tires. This Grand Wagoneer is now offered in California with a Pennsylvania title.
The truck was refinished in white in 2022, and additional work at that time included replacing the trim, faux woodgrain paneling, and seals. Additional exterior details include auxiliary lights, an electric rear window, and a bright-finished roof rack, bumpers, and mirror caps. The selling dealer notes that a paint correction was performed in preparation for the sale.
Polished 15″ alloy wheels with gold-finished pockets are wrapped in 32×11.5″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features replacement tan upholstery on the power-adjustable front seats and the rear bench in addition to replacement color-coordinated carpets. Amenities include aftermarket air conditioning, a retro-style head unit, a folding center armrest, and cruise control.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column, and it frames a 100-mph speedometer along with two combination gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 159k miles.
The 5.3-liter LS V8 crate engine was installed in 2022, at which time the engine control module (ECM) was modified. Additional work under previous ownership included fitting a replacement wiring harness, revised exhaust and fuel delivery systems, and a radiator with electronic cooling fans.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission that was installed as part of the build in addition to a Selec-Trac four-wheel-drive system, which employs a shift-on-the-fly dual-range transfer case with a viscous coupling.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage from its first entry in 1995 and lists history in California, Nevada, Minnesota, Missouri, and Pennsylvania. The truck was designated a Gross Polluter by the state of California in June 2014.
The truck has not been inspected by the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and it has not passed a California smog test.
