Coyote-Powered 1973 Ford Bronco

This 1973 Ford Bronco was built by Vintage Broncos of Buford, Georgia, using a Kincer Freeway Series chassis, green-painted steel bodywork, and a black family-style roll bar. Power is provided by a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, a push-button dual-range transfer case, and 4.11:1 gearing. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with TracTive remote-reservoir shocks as well as black 17″ eight-hole wheels that are mounted over Wilwood disc brakes. Additional equipment includes retractable side steps, Borgeson power steering, and a stainless-steel exhaust system. The cabin is outfitted with heated high-back front seats upholstered in black leather along with power windows, air conditioning, and a Kenwood stereo. This Bronco is now offered on dealer consignment in California with a black soft top and a clean Georgia title.

Replacement sheet-metal body panels are finished in green and mounted to a Kincer Freeway Series Chassis, which extends the wheelbase approximately an inch. Further details include a removable black soft top, a rearview camera, LED headlights, AMP Research retractable side steps, and black bumpers.

Black-finished eight-hole 17″ wheels are mounted with 285/70 BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 tires. Stopping power is provided by hydroboosted four-wheel discs with six-piston Wilwood calipers at each corner, and an E-Stopp electronic emergency brake is installed. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with coil springs and four-link geometry front and rear in addition to TracTive remote-reservoir shocks. Borgeson power steering components are installed along with a Bilstein steering stabilizer.

Sound-deadening and bedliner material was applied during the build, and a locking Tuffy center console separates the heated front bucket seats. Black leather with lime green quilted stitching covers the interior furnishings, and a black family-style roll bar covers the cabin. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, power windows, a Kenwood stereo, and Kicker speakers.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and fronts an aftermarket combination gauge consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The odometer on this Coyote-Powered 1973 Ford Bronco shows 435 miles, which is said to represent the mileage added since the completion of the build. Total mileage is unknown.

The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 is said to be a Ford Performance example that produced 460 horsepower when new. It is equipped with a high-flow intake, an aluminum radiator, and a stainless-steel exhaust system.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels via a 10R80 10-speed automatic transmission, a push-button dual-range transfer case, a hybrid-style front axle, and a 9″ rear end with 4.11:1 gears. Bedliner material was applied to portions of the underbody.
