548-Powered 1967 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro coupe is powered by a 548ci V8 linked with a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in orange over black and gray upholstery. Features include a roll cage, a Borla “eight-stack” fuel injection system, Merlin cylinder heads, front and rear spoilers, hideaway headlamps, a four-link rear suspension, adjustable coilovers, power steering, Baer four-wheel disc brakes, and staggered Intro wheels in addition to air conditioning, Corbeau bolstered bucket seats, G-Force four-point harnesses, AutoMeter instrumentation, and an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car was modified under prior ownership and acquired by the current owner in 2019. Subsequent work consisted of installing the fuel injection system and replacing the hood. This modified Camaro was previously listed on BaT in July 2023 before being sold on BaT in October 2023, and it is now offered by the selling dealer with service records and a clean California title.

The body was refinished in the current shade of orange under prior ownership. The hood has been modified with a flanged opening to clear the velocity stacks, and additional details include hideaway headlamps, front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, polished rocker moldings, dual mirrors, reverse lights, aftermarket badging, and dual side-outlet exhaust pipes.

Staggered Intro wheels wear Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires up front and Hoosier Drag Slicks out back. The car is equipped with rack-and-pinion power steering, Global West tubular A-arms, four-link rear suspension, mini tubs, and Ridetech adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Braking is handled by Baer front calipers and drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners.

The cabin features bolstered Corbeau bucket seats upholstered in gray and black along with G-Force four-point harnesses. Features include air conditioning, a roll cage, a floor-mounted B&M shifter, an aftermarket AM/FM/cassette stereo, and carbon-fiber accents on the dashboard and shifter. A rubber insert on the brake pedal is missing, and the rear seat has been removed. A fuel cell and Optima battery are mounted in the trunk.

The leather-wrapped billet steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River column and frames AutoMeter instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 1,961 miles, though true mileage is unknown.

The replacement 548ci V8 was installed under current ownership and features a Merlin engine block and cylinder heads, a Borla velocity-stack fuel injection kit, a Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine drive system, tubular exhaust headers, and Taylor ignition wires. The engine bay features a smoothed firewall, billet hood hinges, and a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. A Holley Terminator X engine management system is said to be installed, and the selling dealer notes that the engine has been tuned to run on 101-octane fuel. The firewall trim tag is missing.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and a 9″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential. A high-performance torque converter and 4.56:1 gears were reportedly fitted under prior ownership.
