20V-Powered 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S Coupe 5-Speed

This 1986 Toyota Corolla GT-S coupe has been fitted with a 1.6L 20-valve 4A-GE inline-four and refinished in a Panda paint scheme. Equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, four-wheel disc brakes, front and rear coilovers, Bride seats, a Tom’s steering wheel, a Koyo radiator, a GReddy oil filter, a Toda Racing timing belt, an Exedy clutch assembly, and an aluminum flywheel. This AE86 coupe is now offered in California on dealer consignment at no reserve with a clean California title.

The car was stripped to bare metal and given a black and white Panda paint job in 2020. Several panels were straightened or repaired during the process and details can be viewed in the documents provided in the gallery. The car has also reportedly been fitted with a J-Blood body kit and XPEL paint protection film.

The 15″ five-spoke steel wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 225/50 rear Toyo Proxes R888 tires. The car is said to be fitted with Evolved front coilovers and camber plates, a rear coilover conversion, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and billet wheel hubs. The brake booster was rebuilt in 2020.

The cabin has had its back seat removed and the rear sheet metal is coated with Rhino liner. A pair of red Bride bucket seats, a Tom’s steering wheel, and a TRD shift knob have been installed, and the front carpet was replaced in preparation for the sale.

The steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 156k miles, though the Carfax report notes two mileage inconsistencies, and the total mileage is unknown.

The 1.6L 20-valve 4A-GE inline-four was reportedly built by Bluemoon Performance and is equipped with a Koyo radiator, a GReddy oil filter, a Toda Racing timing belt, Exedy clutch assembly, aluminum flywheel, and single-row crank pulley. Service between 2019 and 2020 included replacing the spark plug wires, thermostat, timing belt cover, valve cover, and engine and transmission mounts.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, notes the aforementioned mileage inconsistencies, and shows the vehicle was designated as a gross polluter in 2001 and 2002.

The car has not been inspected by the Bureau of Automotive Repair, and cannot be sold to an in-state private-party buyer.
