2014 Pagani Huayra Oceano Pacifico

This 2014 Pagani Huayra is a US-specification example finished in a one-of-one Oceano Pacifico colorway, which was inspired by the colors of the Pacific Ocean. The carbon-titanium monocoque features Blu Francia Metallic and Bianco Fabriano paint along with Blu Tricolore exposed carbon-fiber accents, while the cockpit is trimmed in Ocra leather and Blu Ossido Alcantara. The car was delivered new to its first owner in California and was reportedly sent back to Pagani for installation of the Tempesta package, which added a titanium exhaust system, Öhlins coilovers, and a revised front splitter, underbody panels, and rear diffuser constructed from carbon fiber. Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 6.0L Mercedes-AMG M158 V12 paired with an Xtrac transverse seven-speed automated manual transaxle with a single clutch. Additional equipment includes pushrod-operated adjustable coilover suspension, white-painted calipers over carbon-ceramic brakes, blue- and white-finished staggered-dimension wheels, active aerodynamics, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a Sonus Faber sound system. This Huayra has 2k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in Newbury Park, California, with a set of staggered-diameter gold-finished wheels, factory extras, and a clean Montana title.

Developed over the course of seven years and named after the Aymara god of wind, the Huayra was unveiled in February 2011 as a follow-up to Pagani’s first model, the Zonda, and extended the Modena-based manufacturer’s partnership with Mercedes-AMG. The Huayra’s construction incorporates a carbon-titanium monocoque structure with chromoly front and rear subframes and a composite safety cell surrounding the fuel tank, while the carbon-fiber body features a wing-shaped profile that utilizes active aerodynamics.

The bodywork on this example features Blu Francia Metallic paint on the fenders, doors, and quarter panels along with Bianco Fabriano accents. Exposed carbon fiber finished in Blu Tricolore is present on the nose, roof, and decklid, while the leaf-shaped side mirrors sport tricolore accents. Additional design elements include gullwing doors, quad bi-xenon headlights with LED running lights, and tan leather front and rear clamshell retaining straps. Pairs of control flaps at the front and rear combine with a hydropneumatic active front lift system and ECU and ABS data to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and stability as well as to assist with braking. A replacement front splitter and rear diffuser were installed as part of the Tempesta package.

Center-lock alloy wheels measuring 20” in diameter up front and 21” at the rear are finished in blue with white rims, and they are wrapped in 255/30 front and 355/25 rear Pirelli P Zero tires. A set of 20″ and 21″ gold-finished two-piece wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires are pictured above and are included in the sale. Stopping is handled by Brembo carbon-ceramic cross-drilled and ventilated disc brakes with white-painted calipers employing six pistons each up front and four pistons apiece at the rear.

The cockpit is trimmed in Ocra leather with Blu Ossido Alcantara accents that extend from the seats to the dashboard, door panels, and rear bulkhead. The carbon-fiber-backed bucket seats feature height adjustment knobs positioned between the occupants’ knees, and exposed Blu Tricolore-finished carbon fiber is present on the door panels, center tunnel, and dash. Additional features include a black-finished shifter with exposed linkage, power windows, automatic climate control, a Sonus Faber sound system, a touchscreen infotainment system housed in a black-finished upper console panel, and quilted floor mats.

The flat-bottomed carbon-fiber steering wheel is trimmed in Ocra leather and is equipped with paddle shifters as well as hub-mounted controls for the lighting and windshield wiper. A configurable digital display is surrounded by metal-faced instrumentation that was produced by Swiss watchmakers and includes a 7k-rpm tachometer, a reverse-sweep 260-mph speedometer, and a pair of combination gauges. The digital odometer on this 2014 Pagani Huayra shows 2k miles.

Polished plaques denoting the car’s one-of-one Oceano Pacifico colorway are mounted in the cockpit.

A Horatio Pagani signature is present on the left luggage locker door.

The 5,980cc M158 60° V12 was developed and built by Mercedes-AMG and features a pair of twin-scroll turbochargers, air-to-liquid intercoolers, dry-sump lubrication, an oil/water heat exchanger, two spark plugs per cylinder, and a Bosch ECU. Additional features include a two-stage fuel delivery system with dual pumps and an 85-liter tank, finned intercooler covers, dual intercooler radiators flanking two canted engine radiators in the nose panel, and a Tempesta-specification titanium exhaust system.

Power on this 2014 Pagani Huayra is sent to the rear wheels via an Xtrac 1007 seven-speed automated manual transaxle that features a transverse orientation, an aluminum case, and a single dual-plate clutch. Suspension incorporates Avional double A-arms and pushrod-actuated adjustable Öhlins coilover shock absorbers all around.
