This 1973 BMW 3.0CS was acquired by the current owner in 2019 and underwent a cosmetic refurbishment that was completed in 2024. The car is finished in Baikal Metallic over tan leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter M30 inline-six equipped with dual Weber carburetors and linked with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 16″ Alpina-style wheels, a front air dam, a Euro-style rear bumper, a Petri steering wheel, power windows, a Kenwood CD stereo, and air conditioning. This E9 is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with spare parts, service records, and a clean California title.
The car came finished from the factory in Baikal Metallic (42) and was repainted during the aforementioned refurbishment. A Euro-style rear bumper and a CSL-style front air dam have been added, and the door seals were replaced at that time. The seller notes that the window seals could use replacement.
The 16″ Coupeking Alpina-style wheels are mounted with 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. Stopping power is provided by discs at all four corners.
The cabin houses front bucket seats and contoured rear seats that were re-trimmed in tan leather, and beige squareweave carpets with tan leather bindings line the floors. Replacement wood trim has been installed, and interior appointments include a heated rear window, three-point seatbelts, an aftermarket shift knob, a Kenwood CD stereo, and air conditioning, which has been converted to R134a.
The Petri leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer is inoperative and shows 30k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 3.0-liter M30 inline-six has been fitted with dual Weber carburetors and an electric fuel pump. The battery and spark plugs were replaced in 2024, and the radiator was repaired in 2019.
The four-speed manual transmission is said to have been overhauled. Rust is noted on the undercarriage.
