1972 Laverda 750 SF

This 1972 Laverda 750 SF is powered by a 744cc SOHC parallel-twin paired with a five-speed transmission and is finished in orange over a black open-cradle frame. Equipment includes polished stainless-steel fenders, a black vinyl two-up bump seat, bar-end turn signals, and headlight mirrors along with Ceriani suspension, twin leading-shoe drum brakes, a vented front brake, dual Dell’Orto VHB carburetors, and a chrome dual exhaust system with a crossover pipe and megaphone mufflers. This 750 SF was acquired by its current owner in 2022 and is now offered at no reserve on dealer consignment with a clean California title.

Bodywork is finished in orange over a black open-cradle frame in which the engine is stressed. Features include a 4.75-gallon fuel tank, a black vinyl two-up bump seat, polished stainless-steel fenders, and a black headlight bucket with chrome ears into which Bumm mirrors are threaded. The bike is further equipped with dual Fiamm Type-CTP electric horns, a lift-assist handle, folding passenger foot pegs, and a center stand.

Wire-spoke wheels feature Borrani 18″ alloy rims mounted with Dunlop D404 tires. Ceriani suspension consists of a conventional telescopic fork with black-finished sliders as well as a pair of preload-adjustable shocks mounted to the swingarm. Stopping power is provided by twin leading-shoe drum brakes, the front of which is equipped with a cast-in ribbed-vent backing plate.

A chrome handlebar equipped with Lucas switchgear, diamond-pattern grips, and bar-end turn signals fronts Laverda-branded Nippon Denso instrumentation consisting of a 150-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. The five-digit odometer on this Laverda 750 SF shows 11k miles, a handful of which were ridden under current ownership.

The 744cc SOHC parallel-twin was factory rated at 65 horsepower, and it breathes through a pair of 30mm Dell’Orto VHB carburetors as well as a chrome dual exhaust system with downswept headpipes, a crossover pipe, and megaphone mufflers.

Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a five-speed gearbox with right-side shifting and a drive chain with a chrome guard.
