This 1964 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was initially delivered to Kenny Ross Chevrolet in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was acquired by the current owner on BaT in December 2021. The car achieved an NCRS Top Flight Award in 2022. Finished in Saddle tan over tan vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 327ci L75 V8 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential. Equipment includes concealed headlights, fender vents, a vertically-mounted pushbutton AM/FM radio, an analog clock, bucket seats, and 15″ turbine-style wheels. This C2 Corvette coupe is now offered on dealer consignment with copies of the NCRS Top Flight Award and CCAS engine pad and trim tag certificates, and a California title.
The fiberglass body is finished in Saddle Tan and features flip-up headlamps, fender and rear pillar vents, finned rocker moldings, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes. Paint and body blemishes are displayed in the gallery. An NCRS sticker is located on the left front vent window.
The 15″ turbine-style wheels are mounted with 205/75 Uniroyal Tiger Paw AWP II narrow white wall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel drums.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in Saddle Tan vinyl joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a heater, an analog clock, a vertically-mounted pushbutton AM/FM radio, floor mats, and lap belts.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 51k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci L75 V8 was factory rated at 300 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction rear end.
A copy of the September 2022 NCRS Top Flight Award will accompany the vehicle along with copies of the Al Greening’s Classic Car Affirmation Service Certificates for the trim tag and cylinder case-engine pad.
