With a bulletproof maintenance history and a complete host of tastefully choice upgrades, we are confident that the new owner of our 1988 Range Rover is more than delighted at his closing price of $20,000 (plus fees). This exquisite Range Rover came to us after the previous owner had loved the car for about 10,000 miles and was looking for a change. Upgraded with over $20,000 worth of maintenance and improvements during their ownership, it was a brilliant performer on rugged terrain or in highway traffic.
Notable among the advancements was a 4.5-liter P38A motor that had been swapped in after being rebuilt with a more torque-happy camshaft. The new powerplant was outfitted with an entirely distinct ECU to manage the heartbeat. Designed to suit the needs of mild-offroading and camping, the Range Rover was graciously elevated 2” by a Terra Firma spring set and medium-duty Bilstein shock set. Originally dressed in Epsom Green, the repaint was to a slightly darker metallic green, and Land Rover Discovery wheels with new all-terrain tires were strapped on to the axles. The full extent of the modifications extends from the interior well down into the suspension and chassis, showing a brilliantly executed build. All we have to say is “happy trails!” to the ecstatic new adventurer.
