Closing On the Corvette – 1996 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Collectors Edition Sold!

Bidding ended yesterday on our C4 Corvette Convertible Collectors Edition at a well-deserved market price of $17,500 (plus fees). Given the exclusivity of the Collectors Edition and that our example had traveled less than 44,000 miles in its life, there was no doubting that it represented a pristine example of the last of the C4 Corvette generation. Finished in Sebring Silver Metallic with a black roof, the two-tone red and black interior, and the 5-spoke ZR1 wheels all seamlessly combined to convey an aura of sportiness that best represents the C4’s triumphant advance of the Corvette moniker. Remember that the C4, when launched in 1984, was a clean-slate design for the Corvette by introducing materials, styling, electronics, and performance enhancements that were cutting edge and kept it competitive in the sports car marketplace. Our Collectors Edition retained the original lighting, interior, and exterior, all of which made it that much more desirable by enthusiasts looking for an authentic period piece. The addition of four new Nitto NT555 tires and an Optima battery, plus the original owners manual and additional Collector Edition badging pieces was just extra icing on the Corvette cake. We hope that the new owner is out enjoying the sun and grabbing those six gears as the LT4 roars away.
