Bidding Closes Without a Winner On Our 2017 Mercedes-Benz G550 4×4²

Our auction on the G550 closed today with a final entry of $205,000, which was exceptionally close to the fixed reserve price, but not near enough. At only a year old this Mercedes carried a $229,000 original MSRP, still has the factory warranty, came with some RENNtech goodies, and is one of only 300 examples brought to the United States for sale. That is right! Based on the 463-chassis the G550 4×4² took that stellar setup further by utilizing the suspension lift and portal axles from the heavier duty G550 6×6 that is only on sale outside of our domestic market. That means that it came stock with an 18” ride height, custom 22” 4×4² wheels, elevated approach and departure angles, a 39” fording depth, and a considerable amount of luxury items. Finished in Platinum Magno, a matte paint, the color was complemented nicely by a black roof (with floodlights) and carbon fiber wheel arch extensions. Inside, the black Nappa leather and DINAMICA microfiber seats were comfortable and supportive. Plus, the COMAND navigation, smartphone integration (Apple and Android), and Harman Kardon Logic7 sound system could easily make one forget that this monster of the road could quickly navigate almost any terrain or obstacle. With all of those goodies and the rarity, we were confident that buyers would see the inherent value of what will assuredly become a future collectible. Although bidding has concluded, the G550 is still for sale and comes with the factory warranty, a clean California title, and the RENNtech modifications plus the original pieces. Give us a call if you are ready to tackle the trail!
