Au Revoir Ossi Blue 912! – 1968 Porsche 912 Sells at Auction

Commanding a premium during its auction, our Ossi Blue 912 has closed with a buyer for $37,000 (plus fees)! The Porsche market, specifically the air-cooled collection, has spiked and shows little relief for those looking to get into an early 911, but the 912 has remained an affordable alternative. The baby brother of the 911 during the 1960s looks and drives almost exactly like the more powerful relative, but is more composed in corners and at the mechanic’s shop.

Our example was a chillingly perfect specimen of the 912 model. The two owner car was repainted in its original color (Ossi Blue) only once, had the front seats reupholstered in a finely replicated leatherette, and mechanically was meticulously taken care of since its purchase in 1968. In fact, the only two difference that can truthfully be noted is the new transmission (due to the original 5-speeds failure) and the replacement of the audio system. Although the original mileage is unknown due to the five-digit odometer, the maintenance invoices and appearance tell the tale of a deeply treasured Porsche. We hope that the new owner finds as much joy and happiness in their new Porsche as the original owners did. We absolutely cannot wait to see that gorgeous blue beauty streak by in the canyons.
