We can only hope that the gloss white SR3 we just sold is already loaded up and on its way to the nearest track to set some hot laps because its auction has officially closed at a sale price of $21,003 (plus fees). Simply one look at Radical’s SR3 and even a neophyte to automotive racing could recognize the authoritative performance potential it controls. Radical has sold more than one thousand of the SR3 since 2001 making it the most celebrated and successful prototype sports car on the market. Radical’s carnal combination of lightweight materials and design married to a salacious Suzuki 1500cc inline-four (a progeny of the insane Hayabusa motor) makes for a blistering ballerina on any raceway, and driver’s love it. This SR3, with a partially rebuilt engine block (new bearings) at a scant 80 hours and an entirely refurbished sequential transmission, has been impatiently awaiting its next outing. Now it is ready to go the distance. Sold with the high downforce package and a fresh set of Dunlop SP Sport rubber at all four corners do not be surprised when you see this white banshee bearing down on you in your rearview mirror at the next event.
