1993 Porsche 911 RS America

This 1993 Porsche 911 RS America is one of 701 examples produced during a two-year production run, and it was optioned with all four factory options, which were a limited-slip differential, a power sunroof, air conditioning, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car is finished in black over black cloth upholstery and rides on Bilstein PSS-10 shocks and 17″ Cup wheels. Power is from a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and additional features include an FVD Brombacher muffler and catalytic converter as well as power height-adjustable sport seats and aftermarket audio components. Sold on BaT in November 2022, the car was listed again on the site in April 2024 and was acquired by the current owner later that year. This 964 RS America shows 57k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in California with a window sticker, a trickle charger, removed parts, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.

The RS America was a lightweight derivative of the contemporary Carrera 2 and is distinguished from the base car by a revised fixed rear spoiler as well as RS scripts on the rear decklid and quarter panels. This example features a power sunroof, manually adjustable aero mirrors, and fog lights. The RS scripts on the decklid were replaced under previous ownership, and the taillight assembly and seals were replaced in 2024. Evidence of paintwork is noted on the hood and right quarter panel.

The 17″ Cup wheels are mounted with 205/50 front and 255/40 rear Pirelli PZero Rosso tires that were installed in 2024. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated and cross-drilled discs. A Bilstein PSS-10 suspension kit was installed in 2016.

The power height-adjustable sport seats are trimmed in black cloth, and RS Americas were equipped with a luggage shelf and enclosed storage compartments in place of the rear seats. A Continental stereo has been added, and an aftermarket amplifier and speakers were installed under previous ownership. The air conditioning system was recharged in August 2024, and upgraded air conditioning valves and fittings were installed in September 2024.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline as well as a 180-mph speedometer and gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, oil level, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer on this 1993 Porsche 911 RS America shows 57k miles.

The 3.6-liter flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a G50 five-speed manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. An FVD Brombacher muffler and catalytic converter were installed under previous ownership, and the DME relay and clutch master cylinder are said to have been replaced.

The window sticker notes initial delivery to Momentum Porsche of Houston, Texas, along with factory equipment, colors, options, and a total of $61,037.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.

The car most recently passed a California emissions test in November 2003.

There is currently a lien on the vehicle, and the owner’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the next owner.
