This 1999 Bentley Continental is one of 48 left-hand-drive Sedanca Coupe (SC) cars produced for the model year, and it was acquired by the current owner following a January 2024 BaT auction. It is powered by a turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in Silver Tempest over gray leather. Features include a self-leveling rear suspension, 18″ five-spoke wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, removable roof panels, power-adjustable side mirrors, heated power-adjustable front bucket seats, an Alpine cassette radio, and dual-zone automatic climate control. This Continental SC has 11k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment in California with records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Montana title.
The Continental SC features a shortened wheelbase compared to the Continental R as well as a glass sunroof and removable roof panels with tinted glass inserts that can be stored inside the trunk. The Mulliner Park Ward-built body of this example is finished in Silver Tempest (9540048), and exterior details include quad headlights, removable roof panels, and power-adjustable side mirrors. The trunk-lid struts were replaced within the last year.
The 18″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with Pirelli tires that were installed in February 2024, and braking is handled by anti-lock discs at each corner. The car came equipped from the factory with a self-leveling rear suspension. The rack and pinion was replaced in February 2024 along with the parking brake pads, and the ABS sensor and left-wheel speed sensor were replaced in May of the same year.
The heated power-adjustable front bucket seats are trimmed in gray leather with white piping, and the cabin features wood trim on the dashboard, console, and door panels. Amenities include front-seat position memory settings, an Alpine cassette radio, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The two-tone steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 4,500-rpm redline, while gauges housed in the center stack display turbo boost, oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, fuel level, and outside temperature. The digital odometer indicates 11k miles, a handful of which were added under current ownership.
The turbocharged 6.75-liter V8 was factory rated at 400 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. Work in 2024 included replacing the oil pan gasket in February as well as the alternator, transmission speed sensor, and traction sensor in May.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80-E four-speed automatic transmission. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
