2025 has been a year filled with first – from new records to new cars and evolving market conditions. We are grateful and excited to have earned the spot as Bring a Trailer’s #1 seller for 2025 (and of all time), selling over $57M worth of vehicles last year on their platform alone. Shifts show a market that’s been willing to wait and pay up for the right spec of the right cars – a trend we expect to continue into 2026.
Our leading records from 2025 make this story especially clear, let’s look closer.
Oryx White 1,600-Mile 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Weissach Package
Sold for $3,112,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting a new record as the highest selling 918 on the platform.
Why? Not only has the demand for 918s grown over the past year, this spec is special. Paint to Sample Oryx White paired with only 1,600 miles and the Weissach trim makes it among the best and more unique 918s you can buy.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder
Sold for $2,301,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting record as the highest selling non-weissach 918 Spyder on the platform
Why? Again, this sale shows strong proof of the increasing demand for the 918 and its counterparts. This specific spec stands out with gorgeous Dark Blue Metallic paint with contrasting Acid Green Accents on the interior and brake calipers.

1957 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster
Sold for $1,650,000 on Bring a Trailer, the highest selling non-factory rudge wheel 300SL Roadster on the platform.
Why? Gorgeous in Anthracite Grey Metallic with supple Cuoio/Tobacco tan leather inside – the spec is perfectly understated and timeless. With a truly over the top, nut and bolt restoration, there are so few roadsters in this condition making it incredibly rare and desirable.

2022 Ford GT Carbon Series
Sold for $1,128,000 on Bring a Trailer – a 2024 and 2025 record for the vehicle.
Why? This ultra low-mile, gorgeous carbon series black Ford GT had one owner and was cared for religiously. All too often low-mile cars aren’t serviced as they should be but this one was not only serviced but stored on special boards designed to eliminate flat spots for museum cars like this. Not to mention, it’s still in the wrapper with factory protection covering the interior.

2024 Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport
Sold for $1,201,000 on Bring a Trailer – the first to be offered for sale publicly and one of 77 to be made.
Why? This was the first GT3R Rennsport to be made publicly available of the 50 or so cars that had been produced by this time. Nothing says ultra-rare and exclusivity quite like this still in the wrapper GT3R – one of just 77 to be made.

2020 Lamborghini Aventador LP770-4 SVJ Roadster
Sold for $805,000 on Bring a Trailer, the highest selling SVJ on the platform
Why? In a world of ever increasing hybrid and modern cars lacking character and driver dynamics, the SVJ is a smack in the face to that movement. Plus, the spec is just right with carbon fiber and gorgeous Blu Cepheus Paint. While there are SVJs with lower miles, sometimes having just enough miles on a car makes it even more attractive to the right buyer who doesn’t care to worry about keeping the miles hyper-low.

One-Owner 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista
Sold for $716,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting record as the highest selling Pista on the platform.
Why? For starters, the Tailor Made list is longer than the standard options list! This is an absolutely stunning car with just one owner. This car is truly one-of-one in terms of spec and features historical colors paired with carbon everywhere. And again, not being excessively low in miles makes this a car the right collector can actually drive and enjoy.

2024 Lamborghini Revuelto
Sold for $733,000 on Bring a Trailer, and was the first Revuelto on the platform.
Why? Being the first to bring anything to Bring a Trailer makes any auction a bit more exciting. Not only is it gorgeous to look at in Nero Nemesis paint that’ll never go out of style, this car represents everything Lamborghini is about.

1993 Jaguar XJ220-N
Sold for $691,234 on Bring a Trailer and is one of just three ever made.
Why? 1 of 3 ever made with unbelievable rich history – this XJ220-N is a collector’s dream. Born a full street car at Jaguar with a full 17-digit VIN, this XJ220 was immediately sent to TWR where its pre for Group-N began.

Ex-Paul Walker 2005 Ford GT
Sold for $627,000 on Bring a Trailer, a leading result for a non-heritage edition.
Why? I think one speaks for itself. Every generation has their Hollywood car icon. Aside from the impact Paul Walker left on car culture – he was also known for being an incredibly kind and giving person. He was a REAL car guy and this low-miles, stunning condition, non-stripe Mark IV Red Ford GT was a testament to just that.

4,300-Mile 2016 Porsche 911 R
Sold for $600,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting record as the second highest selling 911R on the platform.
Why? This was the truest of true 911Rs. Special wishes black stripe, radio delete, AC delete, no chrono, and of course – single mass flywheel. This is THE spec – for drivers, what the R was all about.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series
Sold on for $595,000 on Bring a Trailer – a top three results for the vehicle in the past few years.
Why? What’s more rare than a one-owner SLS AMG Black Series for starters? With just 5,800 miles the car is a stellar, tier 1, no excuses car.

683-Mile 2011 Porsche 911 GT3 RS
Sold for $575,000 on Bring a Trailer – the highest selling 3.8 997 RS on the platform.
Why? There are very few RS on earth with this low miles that are as well preserved. Any Porsche collector needs this in their line up if they are going to complete their collection – especially at these miles.

251-Mile 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster Heritage Design
Sold for $550,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting a new record as the highest selling Speedster on the platform.
Why? With just 251 mile and GT Silver Heritage Design – it’s not surprise this 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster is any collector’s dream. Both rarity and the embodiment of the essence of Porsche combine here to achieve the $550,000 result.

Dolphin Gray 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic
Sold for $550,000 on Bring a Trailer, the highest selling Sport Classic on the platform.
Why? Gorgeous paint to sample in Dolphin Gray, which is both very rare and misunderstood – it needs to be seen to be truly appreciated. Pair that with a monochromatic interior with Pepita and we have a new Bring a Trailer record for the Sport Classic.

Viola Purple Metallic 2024 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Weissach
Sold for $500,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting record as the highest selling 992 GT3 on the platform.
Why? Spec, Spec, and Spec! Unreal in paint to sample Viola Metallic with buckets, brakes, Weissach, LEDs – it just looks incredible.

Jet Green Metallic 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster
Sold for $443,000 on Bring a Trailer, a record setting result for a non-heritage Speedster on the platform.
Why? Yet another spec-driven Porsche result! With PTS Jet Green, extended deviated stitch, lifter, LEDs, and just the right amount of miles to be driven and enjoyed – it’s no wonder bidders had to fight it out to take this Speedster home.

British Racing Green 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring 6-Speed
Sold for $405,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting a record as the highest selling 992 GT3 Touring on the platform.
Why? Absolutely killer spec! Touring, 6-speed, Paint to Sample British Racing Green, Excusive Manufaktur Cognac and Tartan interior, carbon roof, PCCBs, full PPF, IPE muffler, both keys – and just 2,700 miles.

2025 Porsche 911 GT3 Touring Lightweight 6-Speed
Sold for $384,000 on Bring a Trailer, the first 992.2 touring sold on the platform.
Why? This is the car everyone wants and needs – and in such a timeless spec. This was also one of the first 992.2 tourings to hit Bring a Trailer and ended up being the first sold on the platform.

1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet
Sold for $361,000 on Bring a Trailer, the third highest sale price for a 3.5 cab on the platform.
Why? Green over Cognac, beautiful condition, serviced and carries recent provenance having been purchased from the well known and respected Copley Motors. The result comes from a combination of its gorgeous rare color, final year model, and overall elegance.

823-Mile 2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S Coupe Exclusive Series
Sold for $350,000 on Bring a Trailer, setting record as the highest selling Turbo S Exclusive Series on the platform.
Why? This was the Porsche used to introduce its “Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur” division to the world – to say “look what we can do.” Plus, it seems like almost all of these were painted in the Golden Yellow Metallic – making the white particularly rare and gorgeous.

2023 BAC Mono R
Sold for $340,000 on Bring a Trailer, the first publicly auctioned R.
Why? This was the first R to be publicly auction and one of just 30 cars made. It was also finished in what BAC dubbed as their most challenging and beautiful paint job.

21k-Mile 2008 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Sold for $298,599 on Bring a Trailer, a recent record for the 430 Scuderia on Bring a Trailer.
Why? The Giallo Modena pain makes for a special spec and attracts its own dedicated yellow-loving audience. Not to mention that as Ferrari continues to chase down electrons and silence – the Scud stands firm as a snarling reminder of how unfiltered things used to be.

19k-Mile Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coup
Sold for $292,500 on Bring a Trailer, the second highest selling Phantom Drophead Coupe on the platform.
Why? Metropolitan Blue over Cream, stainless hood, and teak deck gives this Drophead a unique and rare look.

1888 Silsby Steam Fire Engine
Sold for $290,000 on Bring a Trailer, making it the highest selling fire engine on the platform.
Why? If you have a historic collection of any capacity, THIS is the steamer to have – serial number “911” Silsby, freshly restored by the one and only Andy Swift.

1962 Mercedes-Benz 190SL
Sold for $230,000 on Bring a Trailer, a top 4 selling result for a 190SL on the site.
Why? The level of detail and quality in restoration on this 190SL speaks for itself. It’s one of the best I have laid eyes on in years – I’ve yet to see a 190SL worthy of setting a high water mark in recent years until this one arrived with us.

Not every special car breaks a record – or meets reserve directly in the auction. Here are a few more special mentions in no particular order from our 2025 results that speak to the same story: special cars and specs bring special results.
